MIKASA X-RAY Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that, in order to further grow our business and strengthen our management structure, Shuji Shinagawa has assumed the position of Chairman and Representative Director from President and Representative Director, and Weiqing Wu has newly assumed the position of President and Representative Director.

■ Background of the Presidential Transition

Since our founding in 1923, we have delivered rugged, high-image-quality, compact and lightweight products to customers around the world as a pioneer in portable X-ray systems capable of withstanding harsh field environments. Today, overseas markets account for the majority of our sales.

As we enter a new stage of growth toward our next 100 years, we will go beyond the provision of conventional hardware by utilizing digital technologies and collaboration with partner companies, and will advance initiatives that contribute to improving convenience in mobile healthcare and supporting the enhancement of healthcare delivery systems. Under the leadership of our new president, who has spent a quarter century building a strong global network on the front lines of overseas sales, we will promote the creation of a structure that enables us to contribute even further to medical settings in Japan and overseas.

■ Future Business Vision: Realizing a “Hospital Anywhere”

Under the new structure, we will pursue our “Hospital Anywhere” concept and aim to realize a society where patients can receive high-quality diagnosis even outside hospitals.

Strengthening Support for Mobile Healthcare:
In mobile healthcare settings, including home medical care, where demand is increasing as society ages, we will promote the creation of a structure that supports the activities of healthcare professionals from a technological perspective.

Equalizing Access to Healthcare:
We will work to improve imaging environments in disaster-affected areas and medically underserved regions.

Co-creation with Partner Companies:
By collaborating with healthcare professionals and partner companies with strengths in fields such as sensors, IT, and system maintenance, we will combine our respective knowledge and technologies to support the realization of better medical environments.

Weiqing Wu
Joined MIKASA X-RAY Co., Ltd. in 2000. He has devoted his efforts to developing and managing distributors and suppliers in the overseas sales division. In 2026, he was appointed President and Representative Director.

I have personally been involved on the front lines, supported by many partners, in building a global supply foundation.
